AESTHETIC FACIAL AND BODY TREATMENT
Focused ultrasound, in the aesthetic treatment of facial skin, can be customised according to the needs of each individual, through the setting of the energy and depth of action of the ultrasound emitted. The ultrasound used for the face area emits at a frequency of 4MHz and a focal depth of 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5mm. The depth of action can reach the facial SMAS, the fan-shaped structure that covers the facial muscles and connects the facial muscles with the overlying dermis. In the aesthetic treatment of adipose tissue to reduce its volume ultrasound emits at a frequency of 2MHz and at different depths, from 6 to 13mm, allowing an excellent remodelling of adipose tissue.
MEDICAL TREATMENT OF HYPERHIDROSIS
The medical procedure with high-intensity focused ultrasound has proven to be effective and safe for the treatment of hyperhidrosis and bromhidrosis. CFU-Èlife is a safe and non-invasive method for the treatment of skin ageing and for the reduction of the depth of wrinkles in the face/neck area, as well as for reshaping the body profile.
CFU-Èlife works on the deepest layer of skin but cannot replace the results of a face lift. However, it is a valid alternative, especially for those who are not ready for surgery or for patients who are trying to prolong the effects of cosmetic surgery.
The transducer/cartridge used focuses the ultrasound energy deep into the skin at a sufficient temperature for the collagen regeneration process to begin, a natural process known as neocollagenesis. CFU-Èlife does not require the use of substances, creams, fillers or other infiltration products.
The duration of the treatment depends on the size of the area to be treated and the characteristics of the patient. A face and neck procedure typically takes 60-90 minutes, while a décolleté treatment lasts about 30 minutes.
CFU-Èlife does not require recovery time. Immediately after the procedure it is possible to resume normal activities without having to take special precautions.
The levels of tolerability to treatment vary from person to person, but a sensation of slight pain, similar to a puncture, is perceived only when the ultrasound focuses its beam on the point of coagulation.
CFU-Èlife uses focused ultrasound technology that concentrates its action deep within the tissue to reshape the body’s contours. This is a non-surgical treatment with no recovery time. It can be used on multiple areas of the body including the abdomen, buttocks, knees, arms and legs. During the procedure, the fat cells are damaged and their contents dispersed through the vascular system and lymphatic drainage.
Both women and men with at least 3 cm of fat fold in a certain area of the body can benefit from the treatment. Patients should have a normal weight condition with a body mass index (BMI) below 30.
The fat cells affected give rise to an inflammatory response that triggers a healing process. Cells called macrophages remove damaged fat cells and cellular debris. Macrophages transport fat through the lymphatic and venous systems to the liver. This process takes about 2 to 4 weeks. The liver treats the fat removed by macrophages just like the fat in food by metabolizing it normally.
